So before my vacation started, I planned to do so many things such as reading a bunch of books that I have not gotten a chance to read.

When my vacation did start, I managed to do it for a week or so before I fell down the gaming hole and played a lot of visual novels. At least visual novels are still novels, I guess (they are basically a lot of words with pictures and voice acting, anyway).

However, when I got used to visual novels, I started to procrastinate whenever I wanted to finish any particular visual novel, too.

I am starting to regret my tendency to procrastinate during more than 2 months but it is so hard to actually do something you actually plan to do in your free time. I feel like I am wasting my youth.

I procrastinate from doing fun things too. If you're still enjoying your vacation, then don't worry about not following through with plans. Vacations are for doing what you want to do in the moment. At least, that's what I try to tell myself. (So I had a nap instead of doing some reading? Perhaps a nap was exactly what I needed in that moment.) Time is never wasted if you're enjoying yourself.

But then, do you find yourself procrastinating from the visual novel because you're enjoying the visual novel too much and you don't want it to end? One way to help with that could be to plan what visual novel you'll start next (even if all you plan to do is repeat the same one), so you know you won't be left without one when it ends.
