Clarke's new story

Unfortunately, in order to access the story, it is necessary to pay a subscription that costs 20 dollars...
It seems like quite a lot of money to pay for a short story.
I know the subscription technically gives you access to a lot of short stories but I won't really want to read them. I only want the Clarke one. I hope it will be republished soon in more accessible format.

Oh, and that looks like such a great story, too! I would love to hear more about that period of JSMN history!

(...ugh, and the website is doing the scummy thing where it doesn't show the paywall until you scroll down, so they try to trick you into starting to read before you realise. Definitely don't like them, and I hope Clarke is able to publish the story somewhere else)

True, everything nowadays is a subscription, nothing allows you to pay up front anymore.
